National Japanese Language Speech Contest DVD available
A DVD of the 40th National Japanese Language Speech Contest which was held in October 2009, is now available for loan to the public from the Japan Foundation, Sydney’s library.

Any teacher that would like their own copy for their students, please email contest@jpf.org.au.

Japanese Film Festival School Screening - Summer Days with Coo
315 students went to Events Cinema Sydney to watch the school screening of Summer Days with Coo on 30th November in conjunction with the 13th Japanese Film Festival. The screening started at 10am when students could sit back, relax and enjoy this Japanese film with their popcorn!

We hope that these students and more will come back this year.

11th World Children's Haiku Competition by JAL Foundation Deadline 15 January
JAL Foundation bienially organises the ‘World Children’s Haiku Contest’, and we are happy to announce that the 11th contest is to be held this year. All winning haiku will be collected and published next year as an anthology titled 'Haiku by World Children''.
